Joanna Mccluskey - Remedial and Sports Massage Therapist
Joanna has a BTEC level 5 diploma in sports and remedial massage therapy and studied at the highly regarded London school of sports massage under the direction of principal tutor Mel Cash.
Joanna has been involved all of her life in sport and was a first Dan black belt at the age of 12. She then went onto to play national league women’s football, representing her county Middlesex also. Her love of sport and dealing with minor injuries lead her into the world of soft tissue therapy and remedial exercises.
Joanna’s techniques range from deep tissue massage, neuromuscular technique, soft tissue release, myofascial release, muscle energy technique and positional release. All of these skills once combined provide a very effective way of treating and alleviating pain and dysfunction.
Joanna has worked previously for a highly professional men’s football club and her clients are from all walks of life. One day it could be a runner who is training for an event, the next- a person with tight neck and shoulders from sitting at a desk all day. Joanna is a keen swimmer, practices yoga and is passionate about keeping a fit mind and body.
